The most classic and scenic of all Tignale hikes. A walk to the beautiful shrine overhanging the lake and adrenaline rush activities at the Adventure Park Flying Frogs.

Park the car in Santa Libera, alongside the main road (Strada Provinciale S.P. 38). Walk some hundred meters heading to Prabione and follow the directions to the Adventure Park Flying Frogs up to the trail sign 266. Go ahead uphill and follow the directions to the shrine. After you have visited this beautiful place of worship, walk back to the trail sign 266 and to the carpark. We suggest you walk the path from the Flying Frogs Park to Santa Libera if you want to spend the day at the adventure park.

1 - THE ADVENTURE PARK FLYING FROGS
he Flying Frogs adventure park lies in the green valley at the foot of mount Cas. It is the ideal place to spend a day outdoors. Managed in accordance with the strictest European safety standards, the park offers courses with different levels of difficulty, marked with special colours and accessible from the age of three. Its high acrobatic courses run around two small lakes, which are home to friendly frogs and crayfish. The large adjacent park is a nature observatory managed by ERSAF, an ideal spot for a picnic with friends or family. There you can enjoy the Mediterranean climate of the lake and the breeze from the surrounding mountains. Nearby you can also find the Alto Garda Bresciano Park Museum and the municipal swimming pool with a snack bar. 
 

2 - THE SHRINE OF MONTECASTELLO
The Sanctuary of Montecastello is the monument par excellence of Tignale. It stands on a limestone cliff overlooking the lake, on the ruins of an ancient temple that was later turned into a castle. It houses the "Casa Santa", a small temple presumably dating back to 800 AD. Inside, you can admire rich Giottesque frescoes and the largest ex-voto in Europe, depicting the last moments of life of the bandit Zanzanù (dating back to the early 1600s). The Sanctuary can be reached on foot or by car and next to it you can find a small restaurant. From this spot you can enjoy a unique view of Lake Garda, ranging from the high peaks of Mount Baldo to Sirmione.
