MOUNTAIN VILLAGES
Round trip to discover Tignale mountains and the picturesque Valvestino valley.
Starting from the organic oil mill in Tignale (Latteria Turnaria), head uphill towards the village of Olzano. On arrival to the end of Via S. Lorenzo, turn left and follow the signpost 253 to the Cima Piemp mountain hut. At the hut, keep left and follow the old soldiers’ road for about five kilometres until reaching Passo d'Ere. From here follow the signs on the right for the Puria mountain pass on path 261.
At the junction, turn left towards Selva Bella. The round tour begins here, this will take you to to Cima Rest, with its thatched barns, and then through the small village of Cadria.
After visiting the little church dedicated to S. Lorenzo, start the climb of around five kilometres on the trail 268 that will bring you back to the soldiers’ road. Follow this path downhill to Passo d’Ere.
Keep to the left and, following the path 253, cross Passo Fobia, the Cuel water fountain and take the trail that leads us towards Aer (signpost 251).
To return to the starting point from Aer, simply follow the flat road Via Panoramica for about two kilometres.
